Vasco da Gama are exploring a loan for Cuiabano, but Nottingham Forest are said to allow only a permanent exit. Globo Esporte reports the Brazilian club’s interest, while ESPN Brasil says Forest would consider only a sale.
The 22-year-old only linked up with Forest this month after signing on deadline day last September. He spent the remainder of the calendar year back at Botafogo on loan.
He has since moved to the banks of the Trent and started for the B Team against PSG on Monday night. What follows remains unclear.
A return to Botafogo has been mooted, and other Brazilian sides have also enquired. Vasco are understood to have made their position clear, seeking a temporary deal.
Any move appears complicated by Forest’s stance, with loan proposals reportedly rebuffed in favour of a permanent transfer.
Forest are already set to lose a left-back, with Oleksandr Zinchenko’s loan from Arsenal expected to be cut short as he lines up a switch to Ajax. Head coach Sean Dyche could look to bolster the position before the window shuts on February two. Napoli’s Mathias Olivera has been linked.
