Former QPR favourite Akos Buzsaky has confirmed he is alive and well after being reported missing to Hungarian authorities. The 44-year-old said in a social media post on Thursday, 10 days after his disappearance, that he had removed himself from day-to-day life.
In the message, he cited major changes in recent months that had tested him, reaching a point where he felt he needed to step back from routine.
His worried mother involved the police, which he considered a misunderstanding. Once he became aware of the situation, he ended his retreat and informed the authorities.
He thanked everyone for their concern, calling the outpouring of support heartening.
Buzsaky spent five seasons at Loftus Road after joining on loan in 2007, making over 100 appearances for Rangers. His UK career also included spells with Plymouth, Portsmouth and Barnsley.
