Former Rangers star Nacho Novo announces death of his son: ‘Absolutely broken’

In an Instagram post, Novo, 47, said that he was “absolutely broken”.
He wrote: "Nothing in my life could’ve prepared me for this post. We are absolutely broken to share the sad news that our beautiful boy has tragically passed away.
“Please respect our families privacy during this extremely difficult time.
“Forever in our hearts, my boy.”
Novo also shared a series of photos of himself and his son, alongside other members of his family.

Darvel FC, who Novo currently manages, said in a Facebook post that the footballer’s stepson Ross had died at the age of 26.
The club did not immediately share the young man’s cause of death.
Darvel FC wrote: “All at Darvel Football Club are devastated by the tragic news of the passing of our Team Manager, Nacho Novo’s, son Ross at the young age of 26.
“The Club’s thoughts are with Nacho and his family at this sad time and we ask that everyone respects the families’ privacy during this extremely difficult time.”
Novo, originally from Galicia in Spain, began playing football in Scotland for the Raith Rovers in 2001.
He moved to the Rangers in 2004 for £450,000 and made more than 250 appearances for the club.
Novo met his wife Donna Clark in 2004 and the pair married in 2015.
