Forward back for Derby but Eustace confirms another huge injury blow | OneFootball

Derby County have been handed a boost ahead of Saturday’s trip to Burnley with Rhian Brewster available again after completing concussion protocol.

The forward has missed the last two games against West Brom and Birmingham City but has returned to training and could come straight back into John Eustace’s side at Turf Moor.

“Rhian’s about fit now, as you know he’s had to miss a couple of weeks through the concussion as well,” Eustace said.

“So he’s training and he’ll be available for Saturday.”

Henrik Meister will not be involved after suffering a concussion against Birmingham, although Eustace says the Dane is progressing well.

“He’s fine. He’s trained well today with the physios, he’s on the grass, he’s running, so just unfortunately he can’t be involved on Saturday.”

But goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom is expected to miss the next five or six weeks with a knee injury.

“Obviously he’s not in a good way,” Eustace said. “He’s going to be missing for the next five or six weeks.

“It’s a big blow to the team, big blow to us and to him but it gives an opportunity now for someone else to step up and enjoy it.”
