In a match filled with goals and intense emotions, France managed to defeat Denmark 3-2 in the quarter-finals of the Under-21 European Championship.

The Danes opend the socring when Clement Bischoff capitalised on a loose ball to score in the 18th minute. The French response came just before the break, with a fine dribble and finish by Djaoui Cissé.

At the start of the second half, following a long throw-in, Oliver Sorensen was quick off the mark and put Denmark ahead again.

As the final stages approached, a French flurry turned the game around. With space, full-back Quentin Merlin filled with belief and equalizsd the match with a powerful shot.

The decisive goal came shortly after, through Tottenham Hotspur's Mathys Tel, who scored with a well-placed shot after cutting inside.

France now await the winner of the Germany-Italy match to determine their opponent in the semi-finals.
