Franculino Djú has been officially unveiled by Trabzonspor, where Egyptian Mohamed Salah plays, joining from Midtjylland in a deal that could reach 30 million euros.
According to Glorioso 1904, the move to Türkiye is valued at 25 million euros guaranteed plus 5 million in bonuses.
Benfica will receive 750,000 euros via FIFA’s solidarity mechanism, despite the player leaving on a free in summer 2023 after his Seixal development.
Djú was at Benfica from 2019 to 2023 before joining Midtjylland, who retain 15% of any future sale. The figure agreed with the Turkish club exceeds the 17 million euros initially suggested by the Turkish press.
He broke through in Denmark, scoring 22 goals last season, which attracted interest from several European clubs. He had three this term before sealing the switch.
His contract runs to 2030 with an option for a further year, and he will earn 2.12 million euros per season.
