Lazio have agreed a €15m package to sign Davide Frattesi, with Inter set to keep a 50 per cent share of any future sale.
Sky Sport Italia and Sport Mediaset report that Inter’s share is 50 per cent, underpinning a €1m loan and an obligation to buy at season end for a further €14m if conditions are met.
Inter had spent the summer holding out for €30m, already down from the €40m sought last season, so the figures initially caused surprise.
The club hope that regular Serie A minutes could raise Frattesi’s profile, leading to a larger transfer next summer.
Inter paid €32.8m to sign him from Sassuolo in 2023, and, allowing for amortisation, a €15m sale would still leave around €7.5m profit.
Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Juventus showed interest this summer but did not appear ready to pay €30m. The Italy international turns 27 next month and is under contract with Inter until June 2028.
