It has been confirmed that three credible offers are lodged to buy Sheffield Wednesday, and two more are expected before a preferred bidder is named.
Sheffield Wednesday are expecting two more ‘credible’ offers for the club, as the administrators look to name a preferred buyer by December 5th.
It has been a hectic few months for the Owls, with owner Dejphon Chansiri leaving the club as they entered administration last month.
That brought a 12-point deduction, which effectively condemned Wednesday to relegation, but, in the bigger picture, the fans are optimistic about what the future could hold after Chansiri finally departed.

Now, all attention is on who will buy the Championship strugglers, and a host of names have been linked with the club over the past few weeks.
Of course, the administrators will be looking for the right man to take the club forward, and there has been a development on that front, as Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett revealed that three ‘credible’ offers have been submitted.
Interestingly, he also states that ‘two more’ credible offers are expected to be made in the ‘coming days’.
After that, the next step will be for the administrators to name a preferred bidder, and it has been previously reported that they will make a decision on that by December 5th.
Whoever is named as the preferred bidder will then have to pass the EFL tests before the takeover is finalised.
Usually, administration is one of the darkest days for a football club, but there was actually relief around Hillsborough as it meant they could finally move on from Chansiri.
There was always going to be plenty of interest in the club, and whilst some of those keen might be dubious characters, there will be parties who want to take Wednesday forward.

The fact that there will be five credible offers on the table is hugely encouraging for all connected to the Owls, and it’s now about waiting and seeing how this develops.
As outlined above, December 5th is an important date, as a preferred bidder will be named by then, which is the next step in this process for the Championship club.
So, there are still hurdles to overcome, but Wednesday can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel, and even though they’re almost certainly going to be playing League One football next season, there will be a lot of optimism and excitement when the Yorkshire outfit are taken over.
In the meantime, Henrik Pedersen and the players will try to get results on the board, although they were disappointing in the 3-0 derby defeat to Sheffield United last time out.
