Football greats and relatives gathered as the funeral procession for Leeds United legend Terry Yorath arrived.

The service is being held today, Monday, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Moortown, following his death aged 75 on 8 January. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, it is due to start at midday, with the Welsh national anthem, hymns by Cardiff-based choir Côr Meibion Taf, and eulogies from comedian and broadcaster Elis James and Yorath’s son Jordan.

Former Leeds United teammates including Eddie Gray are in attendance, alongside figures from his time with Wales. His daughter, Match Of The Day host Gabby Logan, is present, and his granddaughter Lois Logan is set to perform Jerusalem at his request.

Yorath joined Leeds in 1967, made 199 appearances and won 59 caps for Wales. He was a key part of Don Revie’s side that claimed the First Division title in 1974.

After leaving Leeds in 1976, he had spells with Coventry, Tottenham, Vancouver Whitecaps, Bradford and Swansea. He later moved into management, leading Swansea over a number of spells, as well as Cardiff, Bradford, Sheffield Wednesday and Wales.
