Gabigol moved out on his own as Vasco’s chief nemesis in the Brasileirão points era after scoring in Santos’ weekend win, taking his league tally against them to eight. The strike was his 101st goal for Santos, and put him ahead of Luís Fabiano on seven.

According to Globo.com, the survey of Série A clubs covers league matches since 2003, alongside a companion list that adds other competitions.

Within that league window, Gabigol ranks among the competition’s leading tormentors and has even punished his current club. He scored eight against Santos while at Flamengo between 2019 and 2024.

Fred dominates the historical ranking with 158 Brasileirão goals, and is the biggest scourge of six current top-flight sides. In league play since 2003, Gabigol also tops the list against Bahia with eight and Mirassol with three.

Expanding the scope to active players across all competitions, Gabigol stands well clear as principal nemesis of six clubs, with 15 against Fluminense, 14 against Palmeiras, nine against Corinthians, nine against Grêmio, eight against Internacional and eight against Bahia.

Only two other active players head more than one club’s list, Neymar for Santos against São Paulo and Coritiba, and Bruno Henrique for Flamengo against Vasco and Athletico. The database also highlights Hernán Barcos with eight in seven versus Botafogo, although he is not in the current Série A.
