Gabigol meets Mirassol again on Sunday, the side against whom he opened his 2026 league account, as he looks to keep Santos’ scoring rate high.
According to Globo.com, Santos host Mirassol at Vila Belmiro at 18:30 Brasília time in round 24 of the Brasileiro. He leads the club for the season and in the league, with eight of his 17 goals in 2026 in the Brasileiro.
In the reverse fixture, Mirassol led 2-0 before Gabigol sparked the fightback. He pulled one back on 34 minutes of the second half from an Oliva pass, then four minutes later won a VAR-awarded penalty after a Neto Moura foul and equalised.
A three-game drought ended in the Sudamericana last-16 first leg against Macará, his 100th Santos goal. He scored again next time out, opening the win over Vasco that lifted Santos out of the Z-4 and dropped Mirassol in.
This is his most prolific run for five years, with 17 goals in 34 appearances, a 0.5 average. It is his best return since 2021, when he hit 34 in 45 for Flamengo, a 0.76 rate.
It is also his best seasonal rate for Santos, surpassing 2018’s 28 in 57, a 0.49 average. It is the club’s best by a striker since 2023, when Marcos Leonardo hit 21, with Guilherme top in 2024 and 2025 on 13 and 14.
