La Liga champions Barcelona this week tied up a deal to bring an 11th player to the club from Premier League giants Arsenal since the turn of the century.

The latest Gunners star to have swapped North London for Catalunya’s capital comes in the form of Gabriel Jesus.

After the Camp Nou brass spent the duration of the summer window trying and failing to secure the services of Julián Alvarez from La Liga rivals Atlético Madrid, Jesus was identified as the ideal last-minute cut-price backup.

As revealed by Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian is the 11th Arsenal player to have joined Barcelona directly since the year 2000.

The other 10 endured mixed fortunes, with some having gone on to prove themselves instant hits, and others having struggled badly under the bright lights of the Camp Nou.
