Barcelona have received a timely boost before Sunday’s 16:15 visit to Valencia, as Gabriel Jesús and Gavi trained with the group.

As reported by AS, the session was held at Camp Tito Vilanova in the Ciutat Esportiva and, if Hansi Flick deems it appropriate, the pair should have no trouble being named in the squad.

The Brazilian forward missed the Community Shield final against Manchester City and the Premier League opener, yet he arrives in good shape after completing pre-season with Arsenal and featuring in friendlies. There should be no impediment to him taking a place on the bench.

Gavi took a knee knock against Elche on the opening weekend and, as a precaution, sat out the last two fixtures. The midfielder is now in perfect condition to work under Flick.

Any involvement at Mestalla will depend on the head coach’s decision.
