Gabriel Martinelli ‘to reject’ Galatasaray move after informing Arsenal | OneFootball

Gabriel Martinelli has told Arsenal he has no intention of joining Galatasaray, despite the Istanbul club stepping up their pursuit. The Brazilian is understood to be focused on continuing his career in north London as the Gunners reassess their attack.

According to ESPN Brasil, Arsenal are open to a sale if a €50m (£42.7m) valuation is met and have offered the winger to clubs in Saudi Arabia and Türkiye. The report also says Martinelli has made clear to the hierarchy that a move to Türkiye does not appeal.

Arsenal’s frontline has already changed, with Leandro Trossard joining Besiktas for £15.3m earlier this summer. Christos Tzolis has arrived from Club Brugge for £34m to bolster the left side.

Galatasaray are said to have tested the waters with a formal €45m (£38m) bid. With Martinelli’s contract up next summer, Arsenal must weigh cashing in now or risking a free exit in 12 months.

Talks between the clubs have widened to Victor Osimhen, with suggestions Arsenal have discussed a deal for the 27-year-old, who joined the Turkish champions permanently last summer. The Gunners are exploring him after failing to prise Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid this August.

Arsenal are also in advanced discussions over 19-year-old Ethan Nwaneri moving to Rams Park, after his loan with Marseille, and value him at €40m (£34.1m). A busy run-in to the window awaits before the Community Shield against Manchester City on August 16, ahead of their title defence opener with Coventry City.
