Corinthians won the Supercopa do Brasil title against Flamengo and, right after the final whistle, Gabriel Paulista spoke to the press still on the pitch. The defender, who scored one of the goals in the final, highlighted the emotion of scoring for the first time wearing the black and white shirt, especially in a final, and emphasized the personal significance of this moment at the club.

Asked about the importance of the decisive goal, Gabriel Paulista described the achievement as a dream and highlighted the emotional weight of the feat. “I don't know. What a special moment I'm living through. As I said in my interview, if this is a dream, I never want to wake up. What an incredible dream I'm living. My first goal, a title-winning goal. I have to celebrate this a lot. This will definitely be engraved in my memory for the rest of my life, for the rest of my family's life. It will be recorded in my dreams. The defender also commented on scoring the goal in front of the Corinthians supporters' section, a place he used to frequent as a fan before becoming a professional player, and recalled his connection with his brother.

“If I tell you something here, maybe you won't believe it. You're the first person I'm telling this to. I spent the whole week thinking about this moment, about scoring a goal, raising my hands in front of the Gaviões, because my brother was one of the Gaviões members. I wanted this photo, if there is a photo, to be recorded forever, because it's a memory of my brother. I really wish he was here.”

Next, Gabriel Paulista emphasized the collective significance of the title and the strength of the Corinthians squad, highlighting the internal work of the group.

“It's an incredible moment I'm living, and I want to keep living it even more, with more titles, because that's what Corinthians is. Corinthians is always thinking big, and in every competition we enter, we have to think about winning the title. This group is very, very strong. Sometimes, they were heavily criticized last season and still achieved what they achieved. This year too, many people have already started talking, but nobody knows what we go through inside.”

The defender reinforced the squad's commitment and the importance of starting the season with a trophy.

“Nobody knows our daily routine, what we talk about, what we think, what we dream. We dreamed and dedicated ourselves a lot to win this title, to start the season this way, and we want to keep working, to make this club grow more and more. That's it. Now it's time to rest too, because the Brazilian schedule is crazy, and we already have an important game this week.”

Finally, Gabriel Paulista sent a special message to friends and family from the area where he grew up, celebrating the victory with the community.

“For sure, my neighborhood is celebrating. Everyone is partying: Jardim Mitsutani, near Capão. The guys are going crazy over there in my neighborhood. I also wish I could be with them, I wish some of them could be here too, but for some it's hard to come. The important thing is that they're cheering. The first chance I get to go back, I'll be with them to celebrate this title, this first title. That's what Corinthians is, Corinthians is about winning titles,” he concluded.
