Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has provided a medical update ahead of the Istanbul derby scheduled for this Monday against Fenerbahçe. He announced that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is expected to be fit and available for this high-profile clash. As a reminder, Osimhen sustained an injury during Nigeria’s defeat to the Democratic Republic of Congo in the World Cup 2026 qualifying play-offs.

Dursun Özbek sounded optimistic about his star striker’s availability: "Our returning defenders will be included in the squad for the derby against Fenerbahçe.
