Gales in Rio: Fluminense to shut Laranjeiras from midday Friday

The Laranjeiras headquarters will be closed starting at 12 p.m. this Friday due to a Civil Defense alert about the possibility of strong winds in the city of Rio de Janeiro.In a statement, Fluminense said the measure was taken as a precaution. The club also highlighted that repairs to the damage caused by the windstorm on July 29, especially on the roof of the stands, are in the final stage of completion.The Tricolor also said that the circulation conditions at the headquarters over the next few days will be announced soon, depending on the progress of the work and weather conditions.
