Barcelona will welcome Girona at the Nou Camp on Saturday afternoon as they hope to secure a good result at home in La Liga. The Catalan giants suffered a poor 4-1 defeat at the hands of Sevilla before the international break. Hence, they would be eager to return to winning ways this weekend.
Hansi Flick will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Eric Garcia, Alejandro Balde and Lamine Yamal could all play from the start of this contest.
Wojciech Szczesny will operate in between the sticks for Barcelona after conceding four goals in his last appearance. Eric Garcia will play alongside Pau Cubarsi at the heart of Flick’s defence as they look to keep things solid on the defensive end of the field.
Jules Kounde will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Alejandro Balde hopes to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Andreas Christensen will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Frenkie de Jong will anchor the midfield along with Pedri as they try to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park. The talented trio of Marcus Rashford, Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal will function just ahead of them as part of Flick’s attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Catalan outfit are to secure a convincing win this Saturday.
Marc Bernal and Roony Bardghji will have to be content with a place on the bench as they await their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Ferran Torres will lead the line for the Catalan outfit in the final third. He has to find a way to cause a lot of headaches for the Girona defenders this weekend.
Dro Fernandez will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if required.
