Gauthier Hein completes move from Metz to Nice on three-year deal

Gauthier Hein has completed a move to OGC Nice on a three-year contract from Metz. The 29-year-old attacking midfielder will wear number seven.

The fee is close to €2m excluding bonuses, while Metz put the figure at more than €3m plus add-ons. Hein had been under contract with the relegated Ligue 2 side until 2028.

He becomes Nice's second summer signing after Laurent Abergel, formerly of Lorient.

He had also attracted interest from Mainz.

He could make his first appearance in red and black in Saturday's friendly at Cagliari, kick-off 20:30.
