Gaviões da Fiel welcomed Millonarios supporters to their Bom Retiro headquarters in central São Paulo on Tuesday, ahead of the Colombians’ Copa Sudamericana meeting with São Paulo at Morumbis at 21:30.

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians’ main organised group opened the space for banners and a pre-match gathering, echoing recent receptions for Peñarol fans two weeks ago and for Boca Juniors earlier in 2024.

The gesture also reflects recent reciprocity. Early this month, Corinthians followers received backing from Millonarios supporters around the Libertadores tie against Santa Fe in Bogotá, in case of potential issues in the Colombian capital.

The renewed coordination followed incidents around the Barra fixture on 21 April in the fifth phase of the Copa do Brasil. Organised fans arrived at the Ressacada almost 40 minutes late and complained about logistics used by Santa Catarina’s police. The Fan Support Group, GAT, will be led by acting Corinthians president Leonardo Pantaleão.

While hosting the Colombians, the organised group are also preparing for another Libertadores trip. On Thursday, Fernando Diniz’s squad visit Peñarol at 21:30 at the Campeón del Siglo in Montevideo, in the fifth round of the group stage.
