Gençlerbirliği beat Trabzonspor 4-3 at Eryaman Stadyumu, ending the visitors' 11-match unbeaten Süper Lig run and lifting the hosts to 11th.

Dimitris Goutas headed in from a Göktan Gürpüz corner in the fifth minute, and Franco Tongya doubled the lead (31.). Felipe Augusto halved the deficit with a glancing header in the second minute of first half stoppage time.

After the restart, Augusto levelled with another header (50.). Ogulcan Ülgün immediately restored the lead with a header from a Metehan Mimaroğlu cross (52.), before Sékou Koïta nodded in Gürpüz's set piece delivery (58.).

Ernest Muci converted a penalty after Oleksandr Zubkov was fouled (67.). Moments later, a Tongya finish was ruled out for offside following a VAR review (72.).

Gürpüz finished with two assists, repeatedly finding space to deliver from the right. Trabzonspor saw more of the ball at 63.1% possession. Gençlerbirliği produced 18 attempts, hitting nine on target.
