Mats Hummels officially announced his retirement from football in April and the towering German defender received a fine send-off ahead of Die Nationalelf's World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland.
Before kick-off at the RheinEnergie Stadion, Hummels was bestowed with a commemorative document before the home fans unveiled a heart-warming tifo for the 2014 World Cup winner.
