Germany legend Thomas Müller extends MLS contract until 2027 | OneFootball

37-year-old attacker Thomas Müller agreed on a new deal with Vancouver Whitecaps. The FC Bayern legend led his Canadian side to the MLS Cup final in his debut season before scoring 10 goals in all competitions so far in 2026.

The new contract will see the 2014 World Cup champion compete in his third MLS campaign. With plans for a schedule revamp starting from the 2027/28 season, there will only be 14 matchdays in the regular season next term.

Vancouver are currently sitting top of the Western Conference, with only seven games left to play in the regular season. Before Müller’s arrival, they last finished in the top three of an MLS regular season in the 2016/17 campaign.

In addition to Germany’s success in Brazil, he finished as the top scorer of the previous World Cup in 2010. Müller won 33 major trophies during his time with the Rekordmeister. A two-time treble winner with his boyhood club, Müller scored 250 goals in 756 appearances for Bayern.
