Getafe are reportedly interested in signing AS Saint-Étienne’s Pierre Ekwah (24), according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

Impressed by the midfielder’s qualities, Los Azulones are keen to pair him with their new signing Orel Mangala (28), who recently joined on loan from Olympique Lyonnais.

This is a move the side – who finished seventh in last season’s La Liga – are keen to pursue once again, and they are reportedly in talks with the Frenchman’s representatives to try to finalise the deal.

Having come through the youth academies of Chelsea, West Ham United and Sunderland, Ekwah joined ASSE two years ago – initially on loan and then signed permanently last summer – and made 29 appearances during the 2024-25 season.

Absent for the entire first half of the following season following a dispute with the club’s management, the left-footed player spent the second half of the season with the Hornets, to whom he was loaned last winter, making seven appearances in the Championship.
