Getafe have signed Uruguayan forward Martín Satriano on loan from Lyon, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

The club said in a statement that Satriano is their first winter signing, a 24-year-old centre-forward.

He could make his bow against Valencia on Sunday at 14:00, and selection depends on José Bordalás.

He is likely to be in the squad, but the manager will decide whether he starts or stays on the bench.

With a reduced squad and several absences, Getafe have moved to bolster their options for the second half of the LaLiga EA Sports season.

An Inter Milan academy graduate, he made his Serie A debut in 2021/22 and has since featured in Serie A and Ligue 1 for Stade Brestois, Empoli, Lens and Lyon. This season at Lyon he has scored three goals, one of them in the Europa League.
