The issue of racism in football is becoming more alarming by the day. In recent hours, FIFA president Gianni Infantino has put forward a proposal.

Two weeks after Gianluca Prestianni's insults, denounced by Vinicius Jr during the first leg of the Champions League playoff between Benfica and Real Madrid (0-1), FIFA president Gianni Infantino has suggested a new measure to combat racism.

"If a player covers his mouth and says something that has racist consequences, then he must be sent off, obviously. We have to presume that he said something he shouldn't have, otherwise he wouldn't have needed to cover his mouth," the head of world football's governing body told Sky News.
