Giovani Versini joins Brest from Pau as club use joker | OneFootball

Brest have signed Giovani Versini from Pau on a four-year contract, using their joker. The club said on Wednesday the 22-year-old right winger will wear the number 10 left by Romain Del Castillo after his move to Osasuna.

The Marseille-born wide man rose quickly through the divisions, from the old National 3 to National 2, before shining at Châteauroux in National, now Ligue 3, in 2024-25 with five goals and nine assists.

He joined Pau last summer and needed only one season in the second tier to catch Brest’s eye. For Pau, he produced nine goals and four assists.

His form earned him a place in the UNFP Ligue 2 team of the season and a first call-up to the France under-21s, winning two caps during the campaign.

He will meet his new team-mates at training tomorrow.
