Girondins de Bordeaux have unveiled their new home shirt despite being excluded from national competitions and facing the threat of liquidation, and they may never wear it.
According to L'Équipe, the 2026-27 design was revealed on Friday, a few days after the club put its pre-match shirt on sale.
The launch on X referenced the Garonne and the Port de la Lune, presenting the colours as rooted in the city, the club and a story that will continue.
Bordeaux had been due to begin their season on Sunday in the Coupe de France against Saintes, but that third round has been postponed to 20 September at 15:00.
For now, the club’s public-facing season launch contrasts with its uncertain status off the pitch.
