Stuttgart are aiming to pick up their first three points on the road in the Europa League as they travel to Deventer to face Go Ahead Eagles.
The Eredivisie outfit have already picked up one huge home win in Europe this term, with the Eagles beating Premier League outfit Aston Villa by two goals to one at De Adelaarshorst.
They currently sit 12th in the Dutch standings, having lost 4-2 to Heracles over the weekend, and failed to capitalise on a 2-1 victory against Feyenoord before the international break.
Stuttgart picked up their first three points since Matchday 1 last time out against Feyenoord, sending the Rotterdammers home with a 2-0 defeat.
The three points last time out were huge for Die Schwaben, with their 2-1 win against Celta Vigo on opening night being followed by losses away at Basel and Fenerbahce.
VfB picked up a late point away at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, with Deniz Undav completing his hat-trick in additional time, keeping Stuttgart well in the race for Champions League football.
For the hosts, Victor Edvardsen, Soren Tengstedt, Robbin Weijenberg and Gerit Nauber all remain out.
Tiago Tomas will be assessed for Stuttgart, while Ermedin Demirovic will remain out until closer to the winter break. Juca Jaquez could be back involved after suffering from a groin issue over recent weeks.
