Flamengo are close to losing Gonzalo Plata in this transfer window, with Dynamo Moscow emerging as his likely destination.

According to Coluna Do Fla, talks between Dynamo and the player’s camp are well advanced, with salary and contract length agreed. With the forward’s approval in place, the Russian club are preparing to formalise an offer to Flamengo.

Flamengo know of Dynamo’s interest but have not yet received any contact. An approach is expected on Friday 28, with the Russians keen to move quickly and the player potentially travelling as early as Saturday.

Dynamo are willing to pay around R$ 60 million for Plata’s economic rights. Flamengo had not planned to sell in this window, but if those figures hold they view it as a good business opportunity.

Flamengo paid roughly R$ 51 million to bring Plata from Al Saad of Qatar, so a deal in the region of R$ 60 million would leave a profit on the overall operation.

Until an official proposal arrives, Plata remains available and is training at Ninho do Urubu. Depending on how talks progress, he may not feature against Botafogo on Sunday 30 in the Brasileirão.

Plata joined Flamengo in mid August 2024 and was pivotal in the Copa do Brasil triumph, scoring the winner against Atlético-MG at Arena MRV in Belo Horizonte. He later had ups and downs but was part of the squads that lifted the Libertadores and the Brasileirão in 2025, as well as the Supercopa and the Carioca.
