Germany visit Thessaloniki on Sunday in the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League, seeking a response to last week’s 1-0 loss to Greece after a 2-0 win over Serbia delivered Jürgen Klopp’s first victory in charge.
According to BuLi News, Klopp is expected to keep faith with much of the side that beat Serbia, though tweaks are possible up front, with Nick Woltemade under pressure from Jonathan Burkardt.
Nico Schlotterbeck withdrew before the Serbia game, and there have been no further injury setbacks reported for Germany. Greece will be without Christos Tzolis after a muscular problem forced him off against the Netherlands.
Greece are unbeaten after three matches and top Group A2 with seven points. Most recently they drew 2-2 with the Netherlands, having led 2-0 at half-time.
Klopp said Thursday’s victory had increased confidence that they can win the next game as well. Even so, meeting Ivan Jovanovic’s side again, so soon after the defeat in Augsburg, will not be straightforward.
