Grêmio assessing Leonel Pérez loan move to Racing | OneFootball

Grêmio are in talks with Racing over a possible loan for 21-year-old midfielder Leonel Pérez, with the terms of any deal under review.

According to Globo.com, Racing made the approach and the interest has been linked in Argentina to the loss of a player in that role, with Sosa said to be close to joining Vasco.

Pérez joined Grêmio from Huracán at the start of the year. The club bought 50% of his economic rights for an agreed US$ 2.83 million, R$ 14.7 million, and he signed through 2029.

After the World Cup break, he lost his starting spot. The Peruvian Erick Noriega has been used as the holding midfielder in the current set-up.

In Wednesday's match against Mirassol, Pérez entered in the 35th minute of the second half.

Grêmio also have an outstanding balance with Racing after signing Juan Nardoni for US$ 8 million, R$ 41.7 million, a sum that has not yet been settled.
