Grêmio confirm Jovane Cabral signing on deal to 2027

Grêmio have confirmed the signing of Jovane Cabral on a contract running until the end of 2027.

The Cabo Verde international was a free agent after leaving Estrela Amadora in Portugal.

He last played for the Portuguese club on 16 May, a 2-2 draw away to Braga.

At the 2026 World Cup he started twice, the opening draw with Spain then defeat to Argentina in the last 32.

Standing 1.74 metres, he can operate off the left or centrally as a second striker. He should only make his Grêmio debut after the 20th, when the international transfer window opens.

Cabral came through Sporting and had brief spells with Lazio and Salernitana in Italy and Olympiacos in Greece. For Estrela Amadora he made 53 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing two assists.
