Grêmio have confirmed the signings of Argentine midfielders Juan Nardoni and Leonel Pérez on contracts until 2029. According to Globo.com, the combined cost could reach almost US$ 16 million, R$ 83.6 million at current rates, though not all is due now.
Nardoni, 23, arrives from Racing and accounts for most of the outlay. Grêmio will pay US$ eight million, R$ 41.7 million, for 80% of his economic rights, with a further US$ two million, R$ 10.4 million, in performance bonuses.
For Pérez, 21, the club have bought 50% from Huracán for US$ two point eight three million, R$ 14.7 million. The deal includes an option to acquire the remaining 50% for US$ three million, R$ 15.56 million, if targets are met.
To trigger that clause, he must feature in 60% of matches. In that scenario, Grêmio would purchase two parcels of 25% at US$ one point five million, R$ seven point seven eight million, each.
There are also two alternative options for 2026 and 2027, each for 25% at US$ one point five million, which would also total US$ three million. If he does not hit the targets and the options are not exercised, Huracán would receive 50% of proceeds from any future deal, whether a sale or a loan.
