Grêmio will host the first leg against Atlético-MG in the Copa do Brasil semi-final, with the return at Arena MRV in Belo Horizonte. The ties are set for one and eight November. Both clubs reached this stage after knocking out their arch-rivals.

According to Gremistas.net, a CBF draw set the home and away order for the last four. Grêmio are chasing a sixth title in the competition.

In the other semi-final, Palmeiras will play the first leg in São Paulo, while Vasco will decide the tie in Rio de Janeiro.

All four semi-finalists have already secured R$ 18 million in prize money. Reaching the final is worth R$ 34 million, with the winners to receive R$ 78 million.

This season’s final adopts a new format, a single match on six December at Estádio Mané Garrincha in Brasília.

The capital’s selection gained momentum after the Distrito Federal government formally submitted a bid in August, citing hotel capacity and ease of access by road and Brasília International Airport.
