Grêmio have opened an exhibition at the Arena celebrating World Cup triumphs linked to the club, led by a replica of the trophy.
According to Globo.com, 2002 winner Anderson Polga has loaned the replica from his personal collection, alongside two shirts worn at that tournament and his medal.
The display also features a signed shirt from Everaldo, a 1970 world champion while a Grêmio player, who died in a car accident in 1974.
Polga said he was honoured to bring a piece of Brazilian football history home and grateful to Grêmio for shaping him as a player and person. He added that reaching the Brazil squad for a World Cup was the peak of a professional career and that sharing the space with Everaldo is a privilege.
Polga attended the launch alongside club president Odorico Roman. The Immortal Presence exhibition runs from 12 June to 19 July at the GrêmioMania Megastore at the Arena.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:30 to 18:00, Saturdays 10:30 to 18:00, and Sundays 11:00 to 16:30.
