Grêmio sell Gabriel Mec to Porto for 10 million euros after valuation drop | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Grêmio have agreed to sell 18-year-old Gabriel Mec to Porto for 10 million euros, around half of what had once been projected. Financial pressure and the player's waning market value accelerated the move.

Despite banking 15 million euros from Viery's June sale to Fiorentina, the latest accounts showed a R$33 million deficit in the second quarter, and the board targeted another exit.

Club figures say the player and his family asked to leave earlier this year, a claim his camp denied. The deal was driven by president Odorico Roman and CEO Alex Leitão.
