Guillaume Restes suffered a thigh problem in the second half of Toulouse’s 0-1 defeat to Lille on Thursday. Initial indications are that the injury is not serious.

According to L'Équipe, head coach Jens Berthel Askou said they believe it is a minor muscular issue and that Restes reported it quickly. He added they are not very worried for now and will test him in the next few days.

The Toulouse goalkeeper was replaced by Mathys Niflore, 19. The youngster conceded soon after coming on in what was his first Ligue 1 appearance.

Askou felt the goal owed much to bad luck and praised Niflore’s display. He said they are pleased the keeper is staying this season and that the team’s playing principles remain the same regardless of the goalkeeper.

Niflore will act as Restes’s understudy after receiving late-window interest in another loan, having spent last season at Dunkerque in Ligue 2.
