Barcelona have named Raphinha captain for the season ahead.

According to L'ÉEquipe, the club are without two of last season’s captains.

The Brazilian was preferred to Frenkie de Jong, with Hansi Flick judging that the Dutchman’s current absence could be detrimental.

The German coach added that a squad vote on the captaincy will be held at the end of the transfer window.

That ballot is planned once the group is complete.
