Hasegawa set for 100th City appearance | OneFootball

Yui Hasegawa is set to make her 100th Manchester City appearance in our Barclays Women’s Super League clash with London City Lionesses.

The Japan international has been included in Andrée Jeglertz’s starting XI for our 12:00 (UK) showdown at the Joie Stadium as the Blues look to extend our winning run to four in all competitions.

Since joining the Club in September 2022, Hasegawa has become of the finest midfielders in world football and has been included in each of the last three PFA WSL Team of the Year squads.

She was also named our 2024/25 Etihad Player of the Season, winning possession more times than any other player in the WSL that year and completing the most dribbles.

Hasegawa has started the current campaign in equally fine form, grabbing two goals from our four matches so far, including the winner against Brighton at the Joie Stadium.

Incredibly, Yui will have featured in 100 of the 105 matches City have played since she joined from West Ham United.

And her recent contract extension to the summer of 2029 means City fans will be seeing plenty more of the mercurial midfielder in the years to come!
