Rangers still have not got a deal for Ryan Naderi to join before the transfer window closes this evening over the line as Hansa Rostock ‘have still to be persuaded’.

The 3. Liga German side have been firmly opposed to losing the forward this month as they push to win promotion back to the 2. Bundesliga.

Naderi wants the move to happen and has been pushing Hansa Rostock to let him join Danny Rohl’s Gers.

Rangers are positioning the pieces to sign Naderi now, with the player flying into the UK to be put through his medical paces, but a crucial piece of the jigsaw is missing.

Hansa Rostock ‘have still to be persuaded’ to let Naderi join Rangers now, according to journalist Andy Newport.

Rangers are trying all they can to get the capture of the forward over the line now, but unless Hansa Rostock agree then the Gers will have to wait until next summer to sign him.

The Gers are keen to support Rohl as much as possible in the window, with Rangers having pushed themselves back into the Scottish Premiership title race.

Issues over the lack of a cutting edge reared their head again over the weekend as Rangers were held to a 0-0 draw by Hibernian at Easter Road.

Rangers could manage just two shots on target in the Scottish Premiership encounter as they slipped down to third place in the league standings.

Naderi has been in fine form for Hansa Rostock in Germany’s third tier, hitting the back of the net eight times in 18 outings so far this season.

He has also shown his ability as a provider, chipping in with an astonishing three assists in a recent clash against Waldorf Mannheim, which Hansa Rostock won 4-0.

Whether he has been affected by the transfer talk remains to be seen, but Naderi made no impact at the weekend when Hansa Rostock suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at home against Ingolstadt.
