Herrera secures a point for Panama against Ukraine in FIFA U-20 World Cup

MIAMI – The FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025 continued on Tuesday, as Concacaf nation Panama drew 1-1 against Ukraine in Group B at Estadio Elías Figueroa Brander in Valparaíso, Chile.
Panama earned its first point of the campaign as it positions itself for the final round of Group Stage matches. Ukraine improved to four points.
Hennadiy Synchuk scored the opening goal in the 6’, converting a penalty kick attempt to place Ukraine in the lead.
Gustavo Herrera equalized for Panama in the 36’ with a header inside the six-yard box. Kevin Walder provided the assist from the right flank as fought two defenders for space.
Rafael Mosquera had the last effort for Panama in the 90’+4’ from the penalty arc but was just wide.
Panama will play its final Group Stage match against Korea Republic on Friday
