“He’s causing problems”: Danny Murphy calls out Mohamed Salah
Tension is rising at Liverpool. After being benched for the third consecutive match, Mohamed Salah expressed his frustration—a reaction that hasn’t gone down well with everyone.
Former Reds midfielder Danny Murphy didn’t mince his words on the BBC:
By behaving like this, Salah is creating problems for the squad and the manager. Everything is revolving around him, and that’s not the right way to handle the situation.
On Saturday, after Liverpool snatched a draw against Leeds, Salah was blunt:
I’ve given so much to this club, especially last season. I don’t understand why I’m on the bench. I feel like I’m being sacrificed.
This frustration comes at a time when the Egyptian is once again attracting interest from several Saudi clubs. Despite the rumors, Danny Murphy doesn’t see an imminent exit:
He’ll play again. The pressure will ease off. Everyone wants Salah—a true club legend—to leave with honor, maybe at the end of the season.
Salah has tallied 4 goals and 2 assists in 13 Premier League matches this season, but his situation is becoming a hot topic at Anfield.
