After a missing a game suspended for his red card against Burnley, Wesley Fofana will be back in the Chelsea team tomorrow night. He spoke a little to the club’s official website about how he saw things going under Liam Rosenior in the early days of his time in charge:

“We are progressing well. He’s very aggressive [with his style of play], he wants the team to run a lot without the ball and be more direct compared to before. He’s good, I think we play great football at the moment. For sure, we dropped some points, but we learn a lot from that and we are in a good way,” Fofana said.
“At the moment we speak a lot about the defensive line because we have conceded goals. We need to improve, for sure, because it’s not perfect, but I think we are in a good way. Everyone works hard in training and defending set-pieces, we try to work on this. We are in a good way and we try to improve.”
As always, it sounds super positive and promising. But until we see all the talk reflected with consistent performances on the pitch, there’s only so excited we can get.
Fofana also spoke about Chelsea’s aims for the season, pointing out that they can still win a trophy or two. We will need to see some better defending if we want to do that.
Jorrel Hato has had to step up in recent games, and he talked to the Chelsea site about how he can earn more minutes.
