Corriere della Sera reports that Massimiliano Allegri has established some strict off-field rules at Milan, including the obligation for players to speak Italian and a dress code for away games.

Allegri seems to have turned things around at Milan as the Rossoneri have won four consecutive matches across all competitions without conceding.

The Italian coach is being given credit not just for his work on the pitch, but also for some tweaks that he’s made behind the scenes.

According to Corriere della Sera, Allegri established some strict rules for players and staff members, including the obligation to speak Italian, a dress code for away matches and mandatory pre-match retreats.

Allegri has also decided that players and staff members must have meals in Milanello sitting at a single dining table.

In the previous campaign, the group was allowed to split into smaller tables, which inevitably contributed to creating separate cliques. Furthermore, players and staff members are now required to speak only Italian while at Milanello.

As for the dress code for away matches, Allegri has ruled that everyone, including kit men and chefs, must show up at the stadium in full club attire, with a jacket and tie. A throwback to the ‘old Milan’ and the Berlusconi era, notes Corriere della Sera: ‘a message of belonging that must include the entire group with no exceptions.’
