The Terriers will be backed by a full allocation for the upcoming Yorkshire derby at Valley Parade

Huddersfield Town supporters will be making the short trip across West Yorkshire to Valley Parade for the first league encounter against Bradford City since March 2007 on 13th September, with the two sets of fanbases set to produce an enthralling atmosphere.

The Terriers have been predicted by many to make a much greater fist of challenging for promotion this season after a dismal first season back at League One level for 12 years last time out, and they have started Lee Grant's first-ever campaign in a managerial role in strong fashion.

Bradford are in a similar boat following their promotion last season, which brought six years in League Two to an end, with Bantams supporters continuing to ride a wave of momentum and optimism in the early weeks of the current season that has seen them emerge victorious against several sides also expected to be in the end-of-season promotion picture.

Tickets for this Yorkshire Derby were made available to Huddersfield supporters on August 29th, approximately two weeks before the game, which has been selected for Sky Sports coverage as part of the increased TV selection process throughout the Championship, League One and League Two.

At the time they were made available to those at the Accu Stadium, it was confirmed that they had been presented with an allocation of 2,749 tickets - 37 of which will be occupied by wheelchair users - in the East Stand and South Stand at Valley Parade.

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that whilst the majority of those tickets had been sold out, a limited number of remaining tickets would be made available to purchase at 9:30 on Wednesday, September 3rd.

Unsurprisingly, such is the close proximity and rivalry between the two historic Yorkshire sides, those tickets were snapped up almost instantly, with Huddersfield's official X account now confirming such developments a week in advance of the fixture.

"Tickets for our upcoming trip to Bradford have now sold out," the post read.

"Thank you for your excellent support, as always."

Huddersfield Town will be hoping to do their talking on the pitch after previous Bradford City social media swipe at Kevin Nagle

Whilst the two sides have got off to strong starts in the league, as well as progressing into the EFL Cup Third Round, Huddersfield, Grant and owner, Kevin Nagle will be hoping to do their talking surrounding this match on the pitch after Bradford's social media team took a swipe at the Terriers' American owner when issuing a ticket-related post of their own.

Following the appointment of the former Manchester United goalkeeper, Nagle declared that one of the reasons behind his crucial decision was Grant's understanding of "Northern Football"

When asked to define the term in an interview with BBC Radio Leeds, Nagle stated: "I think it's much more direct football, it's really more physical football and I think it's more dynamic football."

It would also be a sweeter victory than usual for those of a Huddersfield persuasion if they were able to claim maximum points, as they would end City's unbeaten home record at Valley Parade which stretches back to March, with Graham Alexander's side previously defeating Wycombe Wanderers, Luton Town and AFC Wimbledon in BD8.

It will also be the third all-Yorkshire contest Grant has sampled in his short tenure too, having overseen mixed fortunes so far in that regard, defeating Doncaster Rovers 2-1 on home turf whilst also losing 3-0 at Barnsley in the final game of August, during which goalkeeper Owen Goodman received his marching orders.
