Olajide Olatunji, better known as KSI, has bought a minority stake in sixth-tier side Dagenham and Redbridge
Crazy things have already happened in 2026, both on and off the football pitch, but KSI's minority purchase of sixth-tier outfit Dagenham and Redbridge is particularly wild.
Olajide Olatunji, better known as KSI (Knowledge, Strength and Integrity), began his career merely as a YouTuber, uploading gaming videos from his bedroom onto the online platform, quickly becoming a star.
The 32-year-old has since expanded his portfolio from YouTube into various professions and businesses, to the point where he has now completed the purchase of a minority stake in Dagenham and Redbridge FC.
The former EFL club now plies their trade in the English sixth tier, having spent the last decade in non-league after relegation from League Two back in 2016.
This is their first season in the sixth tier, having suffered relegation from the National League last season, and with the club looking unlikely to be promoted or relegated this campaign, KSI, along with another well-known name in English football, have joined forces to spearhead the club back up the EFL.
But how exactly did it get to this point? Starting at humble beginnings by uploading FIFA videos to his YouTube channel, what is KSI's estimated net worth, and how did he amass his wealth? Fortunately, FLW has answered those questions.

As previously mentioned, KSI earned his initial fame through YouTube, where he, alongside six of his other friends, formed a group called the 'Sidemen', with the group's collaboration still continuing until today.
The Englishman ventured into boxing in the mid 2010s and was one of the first pioneers of the 'Misfits Boxing' scene, fighting fellow YouTuber Joe Weller in the ring, before continuing his career with fights against Logan Paul, Joe Fournier, and Tommy Fury.
He, alongside former opponent Logan Paul, launched a beverage known as 'Prime' at the beginning of 2022, and then the duo, with the help of another YouTuber and philanthropist known as 'Mr Beast', launched a snack kit called 'Lunchly' in September 2024.
It doesn't stop there, with the 32-year-old also having a music career with varying degrees of success, collaborating on songs with the likes of Trippie Redd, Tom Grennan, and Bugzy Malone.
Now a judge on Britain's Got Talent, all of this has seen Celebrity Net Worth estimate his net worth to be in and around the $100 Million (£75 million) mark.
It remains unclear at this time how much of his own funds he will be willing to put into the sixth-tier side, which he now has a minority stake in alongside former Liverpool and England forward Andy Carroll.
Carroll's recent ventures saw him delve into the lower French tiers with Bordeaux after their liquidation, with the Geordie, at 37, still playing up front for the non-league side as well as being a shareholder, meaning technically, KSI employs Carroll, who once cost £35 million back in January 2011.
It's an exciting time for Dagenham and Redbridge fans, who haven't had much to shout about in the past decade, with the club entering a new era with KSI partly in charge.

With the London-based outfit having spent much of its recent history outside the football league, KSI's main goal should be helping to achieve the club's status in the EFL once more.
However, the ambitious Englishman has different plans in mind, and has set lofty expectations upon his arrival at the club, saying, "I'm so excited to start this journey. It's gonna be a rollercoaster for sure but I hope to bring Dagenham & Redbridge back to the glory days.
"And once we reach that point, I want to go even further. Reaching the Premier League would be a dream. And I believe it is 100% doable.
"It will take a long time, so to the Daggers fans, please be patient.
"I want you to know that I am fully committed to making sure Dagenham & Redbridge is a team that everyone will know worldwide, and will be an exciting team to watch and support."
Indeed, whilst on the face of it his ambitions sound unrealistic, they are not too dissimilar to the story currently unfolding at Wrexham, with the Welsh outfit having a serious chance of achieving four consecutive back-to-back promotions all the way from the fifth tier to the Premier League.
Whilst at this moment KSI's sole objective should be getting to grips with the Daggers as a shareholder, his long-term ambitions remain exciting, and something fans of the club can hold onto as a beacon of hope as they enter this new chapter.
