Huddersfield Town fans were not happy with the club after their away allocation for Bradford City sold out very quickly.
Huddersfield Town will be backed by a sell-out following when they take on Yorkshire rivals Bradford City later this month, although fans were unhappy at how quickly the tickets were snapped up.
The Terriers have enjoyed an impressive start to life under new boss Lee Grant, with the former Man Utd coach overseeing a major overhaul of the playing squad during the summer window.
Whilst the early signs are positive, the 3-1 loss to Barnsley last time out in the league shows that Huddersfield are still a work in progress as they look to win promotion back to the Championship.
Next up, Huddersfield host Peterborough, and with games against Bradford, Burton Albion and Exeter in September, they will feel it’s an opportunity to get some wins on the board, even if Grant won’t allow complacency to creep in.
There is also a cup tie at home to Man City to look forward to, although the priority for the Terriers is to get points on the board in League One.
The most exciting league fixture on that list for the supporters is undoubtedly Bradford away, with the two clubs set to renew their rivalry at Valley Parade on September 13.
The two clubs haven’t met in a league game since 2007, and this is their first game in over a decade, so it’s no surprise that there has been a scramble for tickets.
Huddersfield were given an allocation of 2,749 by the Bantams, and it was announced on Wednesday morning that all the tickets had been sold for what promises to be a hot atmosphere.
Yet, it’s fair to say that some Terriers supporters weren’t happy with the club about the timing of the sales.
It had been said that the remaining tickets would be available at 09:30, but those who tried to purchase tickets at that time claimed that they had sold out as soon as they logged on.
Another Huddersfield fan urged the club to rethink how they distrubte the tickets to ensure those who have been to more games in the past are given priority.
The club also came in for criticism for the tickets seemingly going on sale before they should have been.
That was a common complaint, with some fans feeling 'let down'.
