Hugo Duro will be available to face Espanyol after the referee's report confirmed Cristian Rivero, not Duro, was sent off, ending confusion from the Getafe match.

According to Superdeporte, the striker seemed to have been dismissed from the bench by Ortiz Arias after he had already left the pitch.

He started alongside Lucas Beltrán in attack despite Umar Sadiq being in the squad. He now has a week to continue competing with the Nigerian for a starting place under Carlos Corberán, with the battle for selection tightening.

The forward endured a hostile reception, hearing cries of "traidor" from sections of the crowd from his arrival and throughout the game. He nonetheless offered warm words for those who applauded his return.

Rivero will not serve as Stole Dimitrievski's understudy in the next match. His place is likely to go to Vicent Abril, Valencia Mestalla's first-choice goalkeeper.

Abril would wait on the bench should anything happen to the Macedonian keeper.
