Cristian Rivero signs Valencia extension until 2027

Valencia have tied down goalkeeper Cristian Rivero on a contract until 2027, and he is expected, in principle, to serve as third choice next season.

According to Superdeporte, he returned from a loan at Albacete last summer and stayed in the squad to complete the goalkeeping group with Julen Agirrezabala and Stole Dimitrievski.

With Agirrezabala and Dimitrievski not under contract beyond the current campaign, Rivero becomes the first goalkeeping option confirmed for next term.

Born in Gandía on 21/03/1998, he joined the club aged 10 and progressed through the VCF Academy.

Rivero made his first-team debut on 16 December 2020 against Terrassa FC in the Copa del Rey.
